Identity
Session 2: Identity – Leading from Who You Are
Leadership begins with identity. In this session, principals and assistant principals engage in deep, reflective work to clarify who they are—not just as professionals, but as people. Too often, school leaders are handed titles and responsibilities before they have the opportunity to define their own leadership stance. This session shifts that narrative. Participants explore how personal values, lived experiences, and internal narratives shape their decisions, behaviors, and relationships. They examine the difference between performative leadership and authentic leadership, uncovering the power of leading from a place of truth and purpose. Through guided reflection and structured dialogue, leaders articulate a clear leadership identity that becomes the anchor for how they show up in every room, conversation, and crisis. By reconnecting with who they are at their best, leaders begin to lead more consistently, inspire more deeply, and navigate challenges with greater clarity. This session is not about changing who you are—it’s about fully claiming who you are so you can lead with conviction, consistency, and credibility.
